Ricing Poster
This is one time when this web site is going to lose its professional detachment. I have never met a more impressive person than Winona LaDuke.
Wikipedia says that she is a Native American activist, environmentalist, economist, and writer. In 1996 and 2000, she ran for election to the office of Vice President of the United States as the nominee of the United States Green Party, on the ticket headed by Ralph Nader.
Well, that doesn't cover it. Winona has a large old soul. She is Founding Director for White Earth Land Recovery Project. She lives and works on the White Earth Reservations, and is the mother of three children.
We designed this poster for her to help stop genetically modified wild rice from being released into the biosphere. Genetically modified wild rice? Isn't that an oxymoron?
